Photographer’s Note
A coffee bean is the seed of the coffee plant. There are two main species of the coffee plant, Coffee Arabica which does about 70 - 75 % of world trade, (the other being Robusta). Coffee is thought to be indigenous to south-western Ethiopia, specifically from Kaffa, from which it may have acquired its name.
The posting is of an Arabica bean, shot in a coffee estate in Chikmanglur, Karnataka, a major coffee producing destination in India.
