Madurai - Kanniyampatti

I do regret a bit not to have accepted the invitation to stay the night over here in Kanniyampatti, wondering how this farmer village between the mountains would be in the morning light.

I was already spoiled with this spectacle by sundown at 17:42 that I tried to hold on to with HDR-technique overlay from RAW maintaining the soft warm impression here.

Mosquitoes came in swarms on the party, so it was maybe wise to return to my mosquito-net in spite of the risky drive with the motor at night.

This is an Incredible shot you have here, the sky looks amazing, I love the rays and the foreground is nicely balanced between the farmer and the bush. Did you enhance the shy quite a lot? The light on the field seems different from the sky above it.

Wonderful lights in this photograph which looks almost a bit "mystical". The colours are great and the brightness excellent. By looking at the photo it feel like one can see the clouds move!

Hi Henk,
Stunning.... I wonder how much light there was to brighten the field enough. I like compositions where the ground is brighter than the sky. It gives this unique atmosphere. Good contrast here and the saturation of both the sky and the field. Good composition and use of the 1/3rd's, the balance and strong points of the picture.

Warm farmscape, full of contrast and strong colours.

This is a magical shot. The lighting is very successful, illuminating the land softly while retaining great contrasts in the sky. I like the presence of the man and his animals which puts the scene in context of daily life. Great work.

Dear Henk ... is this from another world, maybe? Outstanding evening sky, I love the huge layers of clouds hanging over the field, but also the sun rays moving down to earth. A magic moment you kept for TE ... excellent your HDR work (something I have never tried, but "never say never" ...). Barbara.

Sincerely speaking the colours are not natural. The shot attracts the eyes and the composition appeals but the colours.....I would like to disagree.

Beautiful colours in this image: the light is well captured while piercing the clouds and create a fantastic atmosphere. The man in the fields with his goats adds life and dynamism to a magnificient composition.

One of your amazing shots once more... So much a routine now, expecting such spectacular scenes from your camera!.. :))
But never a tiring routine... The vast field complementing the abundently interesting sky..Many in Cities may wonder is this really possible?... For them going to country side it self a distant dream, let alone watching a sunset such as this...
For them & for me..It is a treat and thank for that.
