Photographer’s Note
About my day
I was out to Bhindawas National Reserve on photographing birds all day on 26th.
26th being The Indian Republic Day I decided to do a right-up on the people of Bhindwas, Jhajjar. As to how they celebrate the Republic Day.
In the little villages (3 of which I visited) I found that being a National Holiday most of the people, they were busy visiting friends & family.
A group of Sadhus (Holy Men) invited Lorina and I over for a cup of tea.
Joining in shortly I spotted this innocent little boy with his share of tea, wanting to offer me some more :)
Luckily I was carrying a few packs of biscuits and chocolates (mostly to give me energy through-out the long day of photographing).
Well as we feasted over the goodies, I was narrated a few interesting stories of the people and their beliefs.
On showing fascination, the Sadhu invited me into their temple, where I was told that what you wish for from your heart comes true.
Well I did not have anything that I could really ask for, rather a good day of photographs :)
And surely I Did...
After the long day and hours before I finally got home,
on the way there were BIG crowds of people in a circular formation, we wondered if they were the audience to a Bull fight?
Thankfully NOT, rather they had a few teams playing the game of 'Kabbadi' (A National Sport mostly played in villages now days)

A nice miomnet you have captured here Vishal. Maybe a little dark, but it doesnt matter, her bright eyes shine through. I like the soft muted colours and the lovely bokeh that carries the colours of her clothing.

Hi Vishal,
Nice candid portrait. Despite the obvious poverty, its nice to see that the smile is intact. Good use of the shallow DOF.
Best Wishes
