Flying Over Himalayas Photo

Photographer’s Note

this is what you see on your way if you take a flight from Delhi to Srinagar or Leh on a clear sky day. and if you manage to keep your camera battery with you (often they ask you to check it in). I was undecided whether to keep this piece of the wing in the picture or not; and if not, how to chop it off? what do you think?

Not only a very clear sky but an amazingly clean plane window. this is a great view and I have no problem with the wing. Lovely shot.

Hi Olga,
Nice shot. I have often done the flight and know how difficult it is to carry the battery onboard :-) Th wing on one hand does give definitive positioning to your picture separating it from hundreds of mountain shots ..on the other hand as the wing is relatively unsharp it may be a good idea to try removal too!I would love to try a wshop on this pic and see how the wing can be eliminated!

This is a good picture, better (I think) than your pic of the Andes. The plane wing is essential - it's in the 'rule of thirds' spot, or close enough, and adds some scale - good work.

I dont like the plane wings in the pictures, but the background is simply fantastic !
These mountains are magic !

Very clean shot, esp considering that u have shot it thru a galss window. I always wanted to see the mighty Himalayas.

I have had a look at ttmountainman's workshop, he did a good job. It's hard to decide which is better, I think its good to leave the wing in, it gives the shot perspective. TFS
