Photographer’s Note
Panshet is not a city it is a lake some km from Pune. The hills were clicked from a boat in the lake. Once these hillsides must have been covered in thick forests full of wild beasts, but today they are a mirror of the ravages of deforestation. During the monsoon most of the hillsides are covered in green with waterfalls snaking down and the effects of deforestation are not that obviouis but no sooner the monsoons are over the grass starts drying and here they are with their few trees covered in a drying grassy cover. Though looking good in the setting sun still very sad.
I have used some contrast in the pic.

Hello Pari
This is a magnificent view, I just love the great contrast between the green trees and the brown grass.
It is really a pity that some areas of the world only get rain in certain parts of the year. If I had the power I would gladly give you a lot of the last 60-70 days with rain that I have experienced.
Thank you for sharing.

A love the subdued colours and tones here, and the late afternoon (I presume!) lighting is beautiful. The foreground appears a touch unsharp to me, but this might be able to be tweaked a little in PP. Well done and TFS.

Hi Pari = I like how the sunlit slope makes a contrast against the shadowy background, very good light here, the tight crop also works well.
