The Ganges, a intense and unique experience.

The most sacred river on India, daily life of millions of hindus, that belive that taking bath in this holy river purifies his spirit.

Ablutions are seen every day, thousands of flowers are offered to the quiet waters of Ganga. Incense, milk, spices, oils and essences are cast to the river, while performing pujas or rituals. Asking for boons or blessings, taking the river as a temple, like a church.

The Ganges is unique, antiseptic, like .. the cholera virus is not able to live for more than two hours in its waters.

I remember taking our boat trip from this side to the main Ghat, still wondering how this old museum boats still are able to keep running from Ghat to Ghat.

Yes, and still alive, and this is the very same boat we took in our Ganges trip.
