Photographer’s Note
going back to Vaishali. She is a devoted housewife.
She rarely leaves the house and wears a permanent smile, despite this. I occasionally witness her sadder moments... She is the same age as me, though we are two different players of the game. Funny how things turn out eh?

Hi Kaj, wonderful portrait - something you would normally only see from a studio type environment. It must have been very difficult to achieve. Beautifully composed. Regards, Roberto

Wonderful experiment. Looks better without that window for me, but for the theme the windows should be there.I understand your passion for photography from this shot. It seems now you live for photography. Great going.I bow before your kind of passion. TFS

For me the opposite is true...the window is very important - it sets the context - the massive use of darkness is superb and right up my street - it's the kind of image i looked for when I made my own black and white prints......what Sohrab might term the 'black and white eye'.....I think mine has become a hybrid eye more recently reflecting on a private conversation with him......very nice i like this as it is.....I also can see another critique but that would spoil my simple appreciation and enjoyment which i am experiencing right now.
take care my friend

Superb portrait. The bars at the window symbolise a "no issue" idea and add a dramatic aspect to this scene.
