Washing clothes in the tiny fishing village in Diu. Washing clothes is always a problem in places without ample fresh clean water. The women of the village hand scrub all their clothes,them put out on the line to dry, (along with fish also drying)!

Hi Gloria,

oh my goodness! But where should they get fresh (and clean) water from??? Do they also use this kind of water for drinking ... or is water from bottles available in these small villages?

It's sad to see that 500 years of Portuguese rule in Diu and 40 years of Indian administration resulted in very little regarding the living conditions in this place.
I like to see the Daily Life pictures.
