A superb model - great portrait. Natural light and lovely details. Also a tighter crop would have worked fine, but that's an option.

Nice portrait, good mean to use for a portrait too. The sharpness and contrast are fine. Also the DOF works very fine, I like those red beads in the back, they add some colour, and are, atleast to me, not really distracting.
Incredible blue eyes, charming.
Nice framing too.
What is a sadhu?

Interesting face of this Sadhu. Technically it's very good with strong contrast and excellent sharpness. Compositionally I think that it was a good idea to show in the background those red things in the almost opposite corners.
all the best,

So he turns his back on the colored baubles that hang on display behind him. So he looks away from the camera for he can show no pride, which would be lead him further away from moksha. But regard this man, this sadhu. He strikes a handsome appearance. His beard, though long is well trimmed. His hair is swept back and flows with grace. Is he sincere? -Hugh

Your portraits are invariably captivating. You control the lights, colours and exposures so well that every image becomes a lesson in photography. Great work Dragon Vivek. Keep it all coming.

Nice portrait with his expression well caught and interesting, contrast colors sharpness and framing are good!
A nice compo that is!
His clothes dont really reflect his 'saddhudom' even the necklaces in the background seem to indicate a shop or some commercial activity..am i wrong?

First rate imagery. This sadhu has a most interesting visage and expression and could no doubt tell us many stories. Your tight cropping and crisp clear shot is well appreciated and you did well to control the slight glare on his shirt. Very fine work, Vivek.

Good potrait with nicely saturated colors. The white dress is not ideal, saffron ud hav suited better photographically also but nothing doing. Good black effect in the background.

Nice portrait :) The image is razor sharp and the dark background is an excellent idea. The expression of the sadhu is really interesting.
Best regards, Laurent.

Very good portrait with the light very well managed. It's not easy this kind of pictures with white clothes. Excellent details and focus.
TFS and have a good weekend

I like the pose and expression you captured here Vivek, although maybe shooting in landcsape format wasn't the best choice.
I you had taken it in portrait format you could have excluded the white wall on the right which distracts a little from your subject. I think a plain black background would have worked better here.
Still, the light is good, and you caught a good moment here.

I like so much his yeyes! Your composition is excellent with the white wall and the coloured beads on the right whilethe man is very positioned over the black background. Great worl!

Beautifully crafted,There's something very attractive about this shot, one can feel his
spirituality in his glance.

Nice work on this one, the centered composition works for me, offset as it is by the strong directional lean of his body which is countered by his eyes, almost as if he's trying to watch something unnoticed. The touch of orange in the bottom left and on the right frames him well.

Just wanted to say "hello" and let you know how much I admire your work, especially the portraits. I also like the philosophic interpretations that strew your notes! Although I did a lot of landscape and wildlife photography, I am pretty much of a newbie in everything related to photographing people, especially portraits. I hope to learn a lot from your photos!
An absolutely amazing portrait of a Sadhu with a very interesting face! This is one of the best portraits I've seen on TE! I especially love the contrast between the tanned face and the white hair and beard! The slightly overexposed shirt doesn't bother me at all since it contrasts so nicely with the black and red colors. If this was the price to pay to get such an outstanding exposure on the portrait, so be it! I like this picture so much that it took me 15 minutes to realize that I would crop slightly from the left and upper part. This isn't necessarily a mistake, it's just my preference.
You handled the lighting conditions very well and picked the right moment for the sunlight to have the right intensity. I don't know whether you used fill flash but I appreciate the fact that the shadows are not harsh and the details are still perfectly visible in shadows. This is especially obvious in the eyes area. I congratulate you for this work of art and hope you don't mind if I choose it as a favorite!
With Friendly Regards,
