Photographer’s Note
I took this photo while camping at the base of Shingola (5034 meters). It was evening time and I was sipping on some hot tea on this cold evening when I saw this mule's silhoutte against the mountain. That was when I ran to take this photo.

Hi,
Good composition: I like the contrast between the fore- and background. Nice sky and shadows too.

What a lovely moment!
You have captured the colours of the sky and mountain quite finely and we get a good sense of depth with this mule set as only a silhouette! An excellent composition!
Thanks for sharing this excellent view!

Love the blue sky. Intersting to see the shadow in the front. It is a well composed image.

Olá Sarju, I just spent an hour discovering all the updates of your blog about India and loved it. So many photos of remote areas that attract me so much. May be next time...I'll spend the whole month only at the Himalayas. The naked moonlandscape make me think of a unreal place and when suddenly it appears a monastery in those places, it's like magic. Your images make me think that you spent a great time with the Canadian group.
About this image, I love the three well defined horizontal stripes of the composition and of course, the sillouette of the mule as a living presence on this inospit landscape. Also nice to see the shadow of the clouds, over the icecream mountain. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more from your staying in the Indian Himalayas.
Cheers,
Ricardo

Hello Sarju -
I like this image because of it's simplicity. The colors are fantastic with the far ridge being lit by the evening sun and the stunning blue of the sky. The layers alsdo enhance the image. This is a real keeper! When you get back to Toronto consider enlarging, matting, framing, and hanging it in a conspicuous place. Well done!
Thank you for sharing

Hi Sarju,
I like the simplicity of the compo and the minimalism of colors. It's very striking graphgically.
It's a pitty that it isn't bigger and it hasn't a bit more sharpness.

Great silhoutte, a MULE! thats Donkey from Shrek to be sure.
Oh just to have got that last bit of his nose in, a little lower and you would have had a real cracker. However an extremely fine image (of Donkey) and with superb composition

Hi Sarju,
I really love this shot! The three distinctive layers are great and the silhouette of the mule really adds something special to the landscape. The bright blue sky contrasts well with the mountain. Well done!
Seeing this brings back wonderful memories of this magical place for me.
Regards
Wanda
