from Indiaenews: 07-29-2006 Shimla Monsoon rains in Shimla hit the popular resort town of Himachal Pradesh almost 10 days later than expected. Widespread rains lashed almost all mid and lower regions of Himachal Pradesh, triggering landslides and uprooting trees at some places, according to met and official sources. The showers accompanied thick fog, which slowed down traffic on the roads due to poor visibility.

Tourists and residents heaved a sigh of relief as the city had been witnessing high humidity for the last few days. The maximum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 17 degrees. The humidity was as high as 93 percent.

The monsoon usually arrives in the state in the last week of June.

Hi Panos, This is an amazing scene. Well captured! I've attempted a workshop: lightened the bottom half of the photo, increased contrast slightly overall, sharpened, and added a frame. HOpe you like the result and don't mind experimenting with your photo.

Wow, impressive photo. Very dramatic image. It's a dark haunting image, but very well captured. TFS.

Hi,
A nice monsoon snap over the hills.Great colours here,a bit too dark but that is understandable.A bit distracting is the light green color at the bottom.....could have captured it more...

Bonjour Panos,
le ciel est très impressionnant, tout comme l'est la MOusson d'ailleurs. Bénéfique mais aussi catastrophique, elle fait partie de la vie en Asie.
Je suis impressionné par la beauté de ce ciel hors du commun.
Tu as photographié la scène très professionnellement.

Hi Panos,
The search for more photographs from my new city made me explore your gallery too, and I am amazed to see such a beautiful shot, so natural and real. The rainy season is one of the best seasons here, where you walk literary in the clouds.
