A potentially well composed shot!...
I like the light & the momentwell caught..
However, a bit of focus & a encouraging note would have made it wonderful.

Welcome to Trekearth Keith.
Your photo is very well done. Your right, the light is good. Also nice is the position your subject is in, hunching precariously upon the bow of his boat. I like the muted colors with the backlighting upon the boy...just enough to hint at the detail on his face. Slight tilt to the horizon, but that doesn't hurt.

The soft lighting is beautiful and adds to the simplicity of the composition. It has a peaceful feel to it. Nice colors! Hope to see more of your photos! -Lara
