Impressive picture.....VERY impressive..!!!
His face, man o man, that is really something. This man has sufferd, probably all his life.
It's not to dark here, for my opnion you should also make the right side black so we have all the focus on the man, now that red part is a little bit disturbing.
But nevertheless, this portrait is high class.
Excellent work...extremely good taken..!!!

That face.......I can recognise. u took the ruin by keeping the person in foreground. Its really a face with exceptional appeal. But U must have a good eye to visualise that it will deliver an outstanding shot.
I appreciate your post processing, the selection of sepia tone.
One of the best faces ever seen.
I am lucky to click as my favourites.

Excellent portrait, Sabyasachi. The sepia tone helps to bring out the worn, weatherbeaten features here. What a tired expression in his eyes. A sad and touching image, but also a sympathetic shot, very well captured. Regards,

A stunning high-quality portrait, one full of emotion.
I hesitate to criticise, but can't help but disagree with everyone else - the sepia is a little too dark for my taste, and the dark area on the left doesn't really add anything for me.
But this is just my taste - this is one of the best shots I've seen, I can easily understand how he's still with you.
(Hope you did send him the pictures!)
Cheers

amazing face! i really like the dark sepia, it brings out the details of the face well. plus, i find sepia often adds better to the mood than b&w. b&w would have given this a "cold" feel. i like that this face is more inviting and curious. it's a face you'd see in a movie or a dream.

Hi Sabyasachi
Surely a very impressive portrait - an amazing character you captured as well - I wonder if its the sun that worn him this way.
I like the idea that he wants the photo as well - thanks for sharing.

I don't know what to write, Sabyasachi...
I wrote you, that the only word I can use to describe this photo is: powerful. For sure it's one of the best photos I've ever seen and you've made my day with it - I keep walking around my flat and thinking about this photo - this old man, his face, his eyes and story encarved on his skin.
This is one of those photos that would stay in my memory and give me really strong incent to keep taking photos. One of those photos I want to learn from.
Thank you for sharing and for the lesson you gave me.
Best regards
Pawel

I had goose bumps on my neck while reading your note. A most professional and, indeed, haunting photo. The sepia has worked fine to increase the drama. Perfect model and very dramatic expression. I think there is a bigger impact here than the photo in color, old man amidst the ruins. An excellent job. Cheers,
Alp

Hi
This is probably the strongest portrait I have ever seen. Every crease in his craggy face tells a lot about his hard life. Showing it with such colours doubles the shocking effect.
This picture is not only the effect of great photographic skills but also tells about the strong PS abilities.
Take care
