Chai stop in the hot morning of Pipli... in the background it's possible to see the colours of the appliqué exposed along the main road of Pipli.
Orissa's appliqué work is one of the most fascinating handicrafts of India.
The Pipli village in Puri district of Orissa is the main center of appliqué work. Rows of shops in Pipli flaunt appliquéd handbags, bed sheets, wall hangings, purses, cushion covers, letter cases, pillow covers, canopies and garden umbrellas.

I love this picture. The blurried colours of the background are really really nice and contrast so much with th vivid sharpness of the metal in the foreground. Very good work. Congratulations.

A deliciously 'Indian' photo...no one will ever doubt from the bokeh, blurred though it is, that the scene is from the subcontinent.

A beautiful composition...I do like the blurred background which forces you to concentrate on the chay making. Nice one.
