SCANNED PHOTO
This is a scanned photo from my last trip to India. While in Calcutta I went to visit one of my friends in a small town south of Calcutta, call Mecheda.
I went to a local fair there and it was early in the day, this snack vendor was waiting for customers with his snacks all ready to go.
The sky was not really helpful and thus the quality of the picture turned out to be really bad, but I thought it is worth a shot to post it in TE.

A great daily life scene, Pranab, I'm glad you posted this shot. Clever POV to get both interesting foreground and background. Your photo is another proof that a great and authentic Indian flavour can be obtained without "traditional" clothes, saris or sadhus. Regards, Daniel

the quality might not be the best but the idea and subject are. It's a nice image about daily life at this place. I like your POV and the the colours on these snacks. The expression on man's face is also nice.

Hi Pranab, Good shot and natural mild colors. Thanks for posting such daily life pictures that reminding me of life in India. I would have prefered to crop the sky as the light is bit of a distraction to eyes. Neverthless, good shot and thank you again. Sunil.

Hi Pranab.
The scanning must the cause: noise.
And disturbs in the photo. Anyway, if the scanning is the cause, is not a real problem (I mean that the original photo shouldn't have).

I like this vertical view, as the colours and the scene by itself.

Hi Pranab, interesting subject and composition. I might have taken the picture from a slightly different point of view, stepping one or two steps to the right so as to obtain a more diagonal composition. Have a nice weekend, Yvonne

The photo strike me as nice on the thumbnail, then when I openned it to write my critique, I was a little dissapointed that it was a little blurred and not as saturated as I would have liked it to be. Nevertheless POV is very nice. Best regards. Salvator.

Hi Pranab,
I thought it would b fun to look at some of your photos from India. I especially like photos of markets and of people working. I get a 'twofer' here. These topics tell us much about the area. The vendor looks quite trendy in his baggy pajama pants, although I'm not sure it was the trend then. I've added this to a markets theme. HLJ, Pat
