It was Diwali night last year, as I came upon some kids bursting crackers. Suddenly this firework started, rising almost 10ft in height.I had only one quick chance to capture this moment. For people unfamiliar with Diwali.... It is one of most beautiful Hindu festivals of India. Despite the diversity of cultures, it is celeberated across the country with equal enthusiasm. Literaly translated it means Festival of Lights. On the night of diwali every house is lit up with diyas (small clay lamps lit with cotton wick and oil). Though these days it has been replaced by cheap chinese bulbs. Diwali is a celebration of Light over Dark, Good over Evil. For North-Indian hindu business men this day is the start of their business calender and they worship Laxmi (Godess of Wealth) & her brother Ganesh(The elephant headed God of Prosperity)

Hello Partha my friend!
At first glance I was about to say happy new year, but then again there are other occasions to celebrate with fireworks.
Composition looks good, I would maybe complain that there are a few disturbances around the fountain of fire, but that was just when I had a good look at it.
The colour of the fireworks look great, nothing but pure heat to see here.
Very good capture of the moment.
