Photographer’s Note
A much needed rest having crossed over the Great Himalaya Range before most people had eaten their breakfast.
Having crossed out of Zanskar the landscape took on a very different appearance. Water rather than wind here plays the greater part in shaping the mountains by erosion; the smoothed tops and shallow valleys of Ladakh are replaced by jagged peaks cut through by deep river valleys.
We walked for about nine hours on this day so were more than a little disappointed to find that the campsite at Ramjak was strewn with litter and 'human waste'. Lovely.

Wow! That is one stunning alpine photo. The lunar landscape and the icy blue sky makes for a great landscape photo in its own right. But the 'human touch' puts the grand landscape in perspective. I have little to say in terms of criticism. Perhaps, a lower angle allowing for some more of that sky would have been good. And it would have been nice to see the face of the second fellow as well.
Cheers,

The terrain looks really interesting and youve captured it nicely. Sounds like a trip to remember - i would like to see this area of india - i will research its current political and safeness conditions.
Cheers,
