Hi Maciej,
A very lively photograph of a complex compo. The colours are beautiful and I like that bird that's sitting on the boat.
Is that a charity boat? It says 'Caritas' on it and has a cross similiar to that of Red Cross, too. TFS.

Nothing can match the colours of India, and this is a great example. I like the close of of the boat and the great decoration on it, including the eyes. The crow gives this that extra something, bringing it to life. Well done!

Hej Maciej. These colorful boats seem to be the highlight of this place. The 3 birds are good here, especially the 2 perched high and same pose. The very busy background, yet managable on the eyes with the good DoF, is good, almost no overlapping and so many people and boats and great colors.

Hi Maciej
Great composition with all the colours of the boats and nets as well as the funny position of the birds. Pretty light and good framing.

Lovely compo, Maciej with that finishing touch of the balck birds perched atop these colorful boats. You are managing to orchestrate pretty complex tableaus, my friend: it's good to see someone juggling so successfully with the elements...

Hi Maciej,
This is a beautiful shot. I love the lightness -- I mean the light touch, not brightness -- and the colour here. It's sweet and elegant. A difficult thing to do well.

pozdrawiam,
Leszek

Maciej,
A neatly executed with clean composition.
The Selective DOF on the crow is fine..
I would expect a story to connect to.

Great colors. Interesting how all the birds look the the right whereas the boats point to the left.

What gorgeous color! And how things have changed! I visited it last in 1964, when I was 10 years old, and there was not a soul within miles of the beach in Mamallapuram.

What a sensuous shot, Maciej! These colours are like from a fairy tale, just as the three crows perched on different objects but facing the same direction. Exquisite composition. I really wonder how I could express best why, but the general mood, the beautiful orgy of colours of the nicely painted boats are what catch my attention and keep it arrested.

Hello Maciej
there is so much details here, may be less DoF could make this picture more readable and hilight the bird on the boat. By the way, it's a nice catch, colorful, lively.

There's definitely something about it... I had the same scene years ago in Galle, Sri Lanka, but never gave anything good, even though I think I didn't even scan my negs and work on them.
My opinion is that you have missed a point here : you've added an additional layer of complexity while it needed to be cleared out. I mean there's the pattern complexity, and then ther's the color chaos, one of these should be cleared out. Of course you must keep the patterns, so you need to tame those colors but I believe you went the other way around and decided to increase color saturation, especially in the red and yellow tones.
I would have on the other hand tried to mute the tones and perhaps give an overall warm balance. I'm quite certain of that. Nice to see you cannot be right every time. ;) ...
