Interesting... looks like a relic from the British era. The Japanese (?) writing on the wall adds some multi-nationalism to the whole thing.

The writing on the wall (ahem) is important since it sets the whole context for this shot and makes one ponder the absurdness of the sign. But the lettershape of "Johnson" actually resembles the indian signs.

Site too big to meet anymore? This is a good PJ shot, looks old, like late 1950's early 1960's if I read the kid's faces right. A small nit - crop off the electric wires on the corrugated sheet roof, but keep the roof - I have done it with moving the side bar slider, and it improves the shot. Have a great 2004.
