Photographer’s Note

THE 90-year-old Pamban Railway Bridge is one of the country's architectural marvels. The metre gauge bridge that stands over the Palk Straits connecting Mandapam and the island of Rameshwaram at the very tip of India.

This is a cantilever railway bridge.

This is a really nice shot here. It's a great perspective high over the object of interest which allows us to get a really good look at the length of this engineering and historic marvel. There a nice tones also and the black panorama give's it a cinema approach. Would like to see more of these photo's if you had them, maybe one that captured the other side from where you where looking back!?

I missed this one Sivakumar, bringing back some memories, good diagonal compo of this bridge with the pano black bordering, TFS

Great composition... excellent balance through the diagonal. Well shown. The horizon appears to be tilted just a little to the left. Very interesting choice in the frame. The black borders are so reminiscent of a widescreen movie, I keep expecting to zoom in and follow a train out of the frame. I like it!

wonderful pov. good dof and color shows the great details in this shot. a little pixalation but not a big deal.

I like the strong diagonal here!
And I agree, this seems like a most unusual construction... An engineering challenge back then I will believe!
You capture the scenery with interesting details, well done!
