This is Marine Drive when it starts curving and going almost towards Malabar Hill. This road gives a good image of what Downtown Mumbai looks like. I personally liked Mumbai a lot, it had a New Yorkish feel to it. Both Mumbai and Manhatan are cosmopolitan cities (Mumbai in an Indian way), Financial centers, located in elongated islands with expensive real estate.

Of course, a very large proportion of the metro population lives in substandard housing, but the city remains a magnet and a land of opportunity. Talking to people in the street, I was always given the same speech: There is a lot of work in Mumbai, all you hae to do is want to work, you can hold multiple jobs, housing however is a big problem. It seems that a large proportion of the people who sleep in the streets are employed, but have been unable to
find housing.

A nice souvenir of this road was driving down the road in with some locals that I met, listening to Indian dance music, quite an experience!!!

Very crowdy scene here.. a typical chaotic Indian view. I like the way the colourful bridge crosses the scene here. I was in Mumbai.. impressive traffic:-)
Well done!

hi daniel, smart title for this interesting picture; it is fascinating how different types of "manhattans" are available across the world;
nice composition;
have a nice day, jerzy

Ciao Daniel, good image of that urban chaos!
the POV and the perspective are both beautiful, as that elevated railways colorful and that cutted in 2 different pieces the picture!

Daniel bonjour - une photo impressionnante - les immeubles apparaissent un peu sales et délabrés -
une photo très intéressante
Merci et bonne journée

Hi Daniel
wow ... it does look like a battered version of Manhattan in some ways... (Can't say for sure as I have never been to Manhattan, just thru photos)
Good capture of the dilapated building .... i wish you could have used a filter to lessen the effect of overexposed building
cheers ... sarju
