World famous for its shore temples ,MAHABLIPURAM was the second capital of the great PALLAVA kings of tamilnadu[southindia] between the 7th and 10th century AD.58 KMS from chennai on the bay of Bengal of east coast road.Tourists are drawn to this place because of this rock –cut art it shows scenes of day to day life in contrast in the rest of the state of tamilnadu. A breath taking sculptured temple carved from single boulders ,man made caves and chariots. Shore temple was built in 7th century and represent the pallava art. These beautiful and romantic temples ravaged by wind and sea are so significant that they were given world heritage listing a few years ago .
