Photographer’s Note
Kee Monastery, Spiti, HImalayas, situated at 3500 meteres in the rain shadow area.
Some of you will remember this place from my previous post. Its the same monastery but the photo is taken after two hours hike. Secondly this photo was taken in the summers whereas the previous photo was taken in the winters.
I hope you will enjoy the serenity of this place as much as I enjoyed staying over there ... Have a good day everyone ... Peace
For more details on the monastery; please check my previous post.

Hi Sarju,
This is a very interesting shot. I love the pastel colour effect. It give that very peaceful atmosphere fitting for a monastery.
The textures and composition is impressive. Congratulations! Regards and a nice weekend.

Hello Sarju. It is with pleasure that I look at this other view of the Kee monastery. We can have a better idea of its dimension and topography. This monastery looks very isolated in a magnificient place, ideal for meditation.Surely hope to visit this pace one of these days.

I really like how this monastery has been captured in its larger context, and from above, we get to see so many different things about it. Nice work, Sarju.

Strange environment but such a nice colour palet. Interesting place to build a monastery; it kind of reminds me of the greek monasteries on the rocks of Meteora. I like the composition here. Looks like you are not afraid of hights!

Looks like quite a climb to take that picture. Such an amazing place with such unusual landscape. The town almost looks lika an ant hill. Very nice, well done.

Beautiful shot. I somehow likwe this better then the other posting of the monastry. The colours and the landscape are very typical of the Spiti region. I like very much the composition here, in particular the way the eye is led from the green patch in the fron in a sort of spiral
to the monstry at the top. I also like very much the perspective we get in this shot by the inclusion of the river and beyond. Very nice indeed.

Well, another photo of this marvellous place, it’s great, I will love to go there and lose me there a few months. I like the way you make the photo from up and looking down, and showing the fields far away. Do they have to cross the rivers to work in the fields ??? I see you went there in winter but in summer too, you are lucky. With the travels you make, and where you are from, I don’t think that the Saddhus may scare you, maybe you were very young !!! it’s true that some times they look very strange and out of this world, but usually they are good people, I have many friends Saddhus and my brother is Saddhu too…..Thanks for sharing. Bye bye

Hello Sarju! I hope you are having a great start to 2006 and I wait for your first posting....! In the meantime I have found this one which I like very much. It was wise to rotate the camera here to get in all the landscape and the road and the patchy fields in the far distance, which is a great contribution. It would have been a fine photo even without the monastery, but it's there of course and very pretty it is. Good to get in the edge in the foreground - it gives a much better idea of your height and distance away from the monastery. Thanks mate,
Chris
