[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was at the beautiful Changu Lake in Sikkim. 12,400 feet above sea level this frozen lake(march 2004) offered an amazing heaven like feel. I was seated on a Yak and was crossing a small bridge which took me to the other side of the lake. Completely surrounded by snowy peaks the lake melts during summer (May-Sep).

On the right you should be able to notice a very narrow path which has foot steps of the Yaks. On left of the frame (which is not seen in this frame) are the shops of the locals which sell and rent jackets and snow boots. People are very very friendly and the yaks too :)

Strange colours, in my Sikkim trip during last October I missed to visit this sacred lake. Seing this picture I think I must go again.

Nice textures, tones and ambience in a very pleasing image. Very well done.

Great shot, Shalin. I like the way it appears as if the mist is rolling down the mountain. Interesting colours and a good angle. Well seen.
