The women is a tribal somewhere from North Eastern India came to Delhi to earn money. These type of women, men and children can be spotted easily early morning in and around Delhi. They search the garbage thrown by local people and take any iron thing, polythene, waster paper, wrappers etc so that the same can be sold to get some money.
The POV of this pic is a little different but one can easily assess struggle of this women.

your picture describes well the hard life of some indian persons, but photographically speaking, the image is not well framed: you cut her left foot and did not let place in front of her.

Very poignant shot of the lady ragpicker. But that is what India is all about even after so many years of independence. The struggle continues.TFS.

A nice subject to be photographed. Nice opportunity and you did well with a scope of vast improvements... Main fault is the framing, some space needed at left. Photo work should be more accurate... Overall a good one. Tfs.

Very good snapshot of this poor woman. Unfortunately a picture which can be seen in many countries worldwide. I feel pity for these poor people, but how to help?

this is a very good subject for nice picture and I like the idea of trying to blur the background in order to achieve shallow DOF. The framing could be slightly better: you have cut a bit of the woman's foot and I think she would fit better in the composition placed more at the right side. Otherwise, nicely captured and with soft light which adds some special atmosphere in here.
Thanks for sharing and all the best

It's an excellent attempt on your part to portray tis attractive daily life scene but i am afraid you have missed few vital elements for this kind of shot to make it work; the facial feature being the most vital is absent here, foot cut off and positioning is to tight without breathing space, lower view point will render more impact. On the plus side; the subject is sharp and good color rendition but the blurry bg doesn't appear natural to my eye even at f2.8. Anyway dont give up, plan and give your best shot!!
My honest critiques, Congrats.
