It is 4 in the afternoon and the icecream man is out with his cart. He rings the bell to attract children. The location is Bheemunipatnam ( I never get tired of visiting the place ) which was once an Anglo Dutch settlement and houses numerous Buddhist ruins dating back to 3rd century BC. Just behind the crumbling ‘edifice’ are a number of apartments under construction which, one day, will surely encroach upon and wipe out this small, sleepy town.

Hello Satya, Interesting part of the city, I am sure not many tourist, specially from the Wast go there. Nice composition with different scenes of everyday life. Ice cream is something that I always avoid in India, so I do not know the taste. And what is the language? Telugu?

Hi Satya, Beautiful daily life moment in the street with the Buddhist ruins in the BG. This original ice cream cart reminds me while I was little in my childhood place. I would scream for having one from those cart every time they passed. Awesome colours with clarity and great composition. Thank for sharing

This is a fine street-shot of the kind that I like, a well captured moment straight out of some persons' daily life. The icecream man comes pushing his cart and the guy in the red shirt turns his head to watch him. There is not much drama, but it may have been a decisive moment for the icecream man, who knows? I like the pleasant simplicity of the view, the nice colours and warm light and the many details of the crumbling house and the small shops. However, I would personally not buy an icecream from that cart. I really care for my stomach ;-).

Très belle présentation de vie quotidienne, dans un endroit simple et accueillant, beaucoup de détails a voir, intéressant de voir ce chariot a glace pousser par le monsieur, et imaginer les enfants courant vers lui, très belle réalisation

This a good DL shot of the ice-cream seller with his cart. I like the placement of the ice-cream seller in the frame as he enters the scene. This shot makes me so nostalgic, during my childhood I used to have ice-creams from carts like these without battling an eye lid, but now I will be really jittery to have one :-) Excellent capture. Thanks for sharing.

so how does he keep the ice cream cold? must be a freezer in there i suppose.
do you know what flavors he has?
how much it costs?
great to see the good ol' ice cream man is still alive and well across the world :)

this is a stunning street scene, beautifully composed and expertly executed.
With fine details of the people and their rather tumbled down environment it`s a very fine piece of photography combining both charm and a great many interesting features.
It will join my favourites.
Kind regards Les.

a strikingly natural and very interesting daily life scene. I like very much your composition and framing. The ice cream man has just entered the frame pushing his cart towards another interesting scene. Balance and sense of movement are superb, sharpness is excellent and everything we see gives us information. It's great that you captured so aptly the stride of the ice cream man and the backward look of the boy. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

A very good daily scene with the ice cream seller and also the others on the right. A good scene, so full of life and details, even the old houses add a lot. Seems a nice and calm city, hope they don't destroy them to build huge blocks of appartments.
