Photographer's Note

Nubra valley is the northernmost part of Jammu and Kashmir state. Situated about 150 km from Leh and at 3100 m average, Nubra valley is known as the orchard of Ladakh and was originally called Ldumra which meant the valley of flowers. It's famous for its orchards, scenic panoramas, bactrian camels and monasteries. Surrounded by snowcapped Himalayan ranges, the valley lies between Tibet and Kashmir. To reach Nubra valley, you will have to cross the Khardung La, the second highest motorable road of the world.
