View to Taj Mahal from the main entry gate during late afternoon in warm sun light which changed the white marble to golden marble.
The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage”.

I have a very similar composition from my trip to the Taj in February 2004, which I believe I have already posted on TE. Great minds think alike so they say:-) The light is perfect to pick out the colours and detail in the most beautiful architecture. Good light management.

This picture is fabulous. The architecture of the Taj Mahal is in great detail. The light condition was perfect when you took this picture. It's a wonderful picture indeed!

Spectacular image, with a formidable POV, framing one of the wonders of the world, in the archway, which raises the prospect of mausoleum, the presence of all these people, gives a good vital touch, plus give the idea of their tremendous proportions, a place that overwhelmed me when I visit many years ago.
Nice color, in these natural tones.
Also both sharpness, such as lighting are great.
Well taken photo. I Like
Enjoy a nice day.

Good evening Miro,
A fantastic shot through the arch, and over the many people on the most known monument in India.
Exquisite clear details on the edifice, golden light upon and most impressive archi.-details shown.
Trully an intriguing place, superbly collected.
SnapRJW (31617) 2014-03-13 10:25
Hello Miro - This is marvelous; the framing through the arch and the border of silhouetted figures is super. In the distance we see many tiny figures, they show the popularity of the Taj Mahal and the size. The details across the building itself are quite beautiful.
A pleasure to see
Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Miro, excellent view through the door of this beautiful monument, very well composed and captured in this great and beautiful picture. An interesting image of a charming place with good sharpness, light, color and quality. Excellent and interesting job well done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.
Good night and happy weekend.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.

The detail here is incredible. I feel I can see and appreciate every carving, every block of this icon, and it is so beautiful. We have the sense of calm of the building itself, but also the frenetic sense of the many many people visiting. The door is a beautiful frame, and your slightly off centre composition makes this original and wonderful, Really nicely done my friend!
All the best
ourania (33643) 2014-03-13 13:05
a very elegant and interesting presentation of one of the most admired and photographed buildings in the world. I like very much the graphical layout and the contrast between the splendid view of Taj Mahal and the dark foreground framing. The silhouettes complete the dark framing in an original and intriguing way, the marvelous monument is sharp and well lit. It's lovely how the arch echoes the elegant architecture of Taj Mahal. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
rogerl (1544) 2014-03-13 15:08
Miro, this is an unusual and beautiful view of the Taj. The evening light is fantastic, particularly set off by the blue/purple sky and the very dark arch surrounding. There are a lot of people there! Thanks for sharing.
subhendu_bagchi (25913) 2014-03-14 4:23
this is just excellent. I like the view you captured from a well chosen POV. Great composition. Like the use of arch as natural frame and in silhouetted form. Magnificent Taj-photo. Tfs.

great view of the Taj through the doorway. I like the silhouetted people, composition and framing.
jcpix (13718) 2014-03-15 16:00
Great way to showcase this world famous icon! The arch makes a suitable, and frankly, most applicable natural frame to best fit the locale and subject. The thin grey "stripes" to each side make for a nice compliment of texture and touch of brighter color to the stylish arch. My favorite aspect here are the base of foreground silhouttes, helping to separate distance. Such a stunning structure, you've done it proud to be photographed as such. A really enjoyable series Miro, these have been impressive. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take good care.
carlo62 (35370) 2014-03-15 17:07
mi sono perso un po' di foto negli ultimi giorni, l'ultima serie è molto bella, questa è quella che preferisco. Mi piace la cornice nera e la silhouette della prima fila di persone, eccellente qualità e bella luce calda.
batalay (35879) 2014-03-17 11:49
This image is well known, but how can one tire of it. The silhouettes of the heads in the foreground is a useful touch. I am putting it into the collection Domes, Spires and Minarets where I also have a similar photo.
delpeoples (53726) 2014-03-17 17:15
I really like your series on subjects taken through arches and doors. And of course this subject is one of the most magnificent in the world. Superb colours, light management, depth and definition. A great shot.

Tres belle composition.
Le melange des 3 couleurs principale est sublime.
Le bleu du ciel qui tire presque sur le violet est superbe egalement.
Le cadrage est tres bien aussi. On dirait presque un montage....
pierrefonds (58367) 2014-03-21 16:43
You had a good idea to use the arch to frame the Taj Mahal. The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the architectureof the Taj Mahal. Have a nice day.
macjake (58014) 2014-03-22 5:03
always enjoy the views of Taj Mahal.
New, old, creative, or classic...always an enjoyable view.
love seeing the tiny people way into the bg.
I wonder if its possible to see the Taj Mahal without any people around it :)

I really liked this unconventional feature on the Taj. Nice use of natural frames and an asymmetrical positioning. Sharp and beautifully exposed. Great details and textures. The heads of the people below add a beautiful component in the image. Great shot.
All the best,

Excellent photo job.

Great! This is one of the most impressive example of the world heritage. Unfortunately I have read this building has got big problems with his foundation and nobody has got the money for reconstruction.
Excellent report from Agra. TFS!
mkamionka (31317) 2015-04-20 8:24
this is just perfect! I like very much the well exposed centre and it is so beautifully framed with the gate, plus also you have included the silhouettes of people who are adding to the frame and don't disturb the main view.
