One more photo from famous Amer Fort in beautiful Rajasthan.
The fort entrance is reached by walking up the hill, going in a jeep, or taking a lurching elephant ride.
I opted for walking, but the elephant ride may be also very interesting.
May be I will try it during my next trip to this fabulous historical place.

Perfect timing to frame the elephant with this huge fort gate. The rocky slope is a perfect neutral backdrop for all the bright colours in the scene. Good use of the vertical format to take this excellent photo. Thanks for sharing this.

This is a good composition of the beautiful animal seen through the old gate of the fort. There is a fine light shining on the elephant and its passengers and the colours are superb. I like the look of the steep mountainside in the background, filling the entire frame very nicely.

Hi Miro. An exotic setting with glorious colours and magical light. Nice timing so that the light accentuates the vivid colours. The shrubs and rocks provide a soft yet intricate background. Regards. Klaudio.

Cela doit être très impressionnant de voir arriver cet éléphant qui entre par la grande porte comme au théâtre.Le cadrage est excellent ainsi que la gestion de la lumière et des couleurs.

A very good framing here, with this ancient gate. The motive inside the frame is very interesting and very colourful. The persons on the elephant provide many colours. The background slope add very soft colours that suit the picture perfectly.

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the big entrance gate with tasteful shape and lamp, and the elephant inside Amer Fort and the steep hill of backdrop. And, the whole is harmonized well by a good arrangement and beautiful color combination.

Fabulous composition, with the beautiful and huge arched entrance to Amer fort, which in this case serves to frame the magnificent and splendidly sympathetic image of the elephant, with tourists taking pictures too, maybe also to you and your background .... .
An image with a very nice color.
Splendid sharpness and good light.
Well done. I love it.
Wish you a very nice week.
All the best.

I am glad you walked, as it allowed you to take this epic photo. Feeling that I know this place a little now from your recent posts, what more epic entrance could there be through the gateway than the majestic elephant. Brilliant management of difficult light here, resulting in a scene that looks straight from a movie.
Thanks as always

Just by virtue of our existence we know how large these creatures are in real life, but to see it essentially dwarfed by this arch is a fascinating study in scale.
Great timing to capture a moment where it appears these tourists are more captivated with their cameras rather than the actual experience...seeing it played out on a 2 inch screen instead!? haha
Rich rustic colors and grainy textures make for wonderful contrast set in front of the hillside landscape. I've always enjoyed the frame-within-a-frame concept, and you've composed a beauty here. Very well achieved! Enjoy the new day. Take it easy.

I like very much how you framed this gate symmetrically and waited for the elephant to break the symmetry in a striking way. Your timing was excellent, you captured the movement of the elephant very effectively, we have a rewarding view on him and his passengers, he is well lit, there's a sense of anticipation and he doesn't obscure the delightful warm tones through the archway. The shady part of the arch has interesting tones and details. Your effort must have been recorded in the lady's camera:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,

Very beautiful capture of the entrance gate of the fortress with the arriving elephant and its passengers.

What a joyful ride and a spectacular view of Amer fort and a lot of thought and time must have gone into the beautiful decorations on this fine animal. This elephant has no idea how much it is being admired actually, it's a very good capture and the lovely colours & detail in all its finery. Great image and nice feel to this, Well done and tfs

The timing for this picture was perfect. Tourists riding on a elephant was about entering a gate. It's a great capture. Thanks for sharing.

kann es sein, das die Luft ein bisschen flimmert?
Auf einen Elefanten sitzt man sehr hoch, were für mich zuviel. Dein Foto ist sehr Informativ, gratuliere!

When I was there they had some restrictions already, only a part of the way could be done on elephant. This composition is perfect, I like the way you framed the tourists on the elephant, taking photos. They are really well placed and the landscape in background is just great. This place is really wonderful!
