Begging for small change onboard a moving train from Jaipur to Ajmeer.
Did she know whom was I, where was I from and what was I doing sitting alone carrying a strange thing around my neck, and what's the click sound it made. She had no idea or might be I was wrong??
Didn't compose or anything and they were not aware I took the split second shot, camera was on stealth mode under my jacket and the only light source was coming from the open window. It's a tough call and somewhat a hard hitting when faced with this situation, but I love this picture as it helps me to be more content with what I've got. On a personal level I too feel, that the trains are built on the back of the poor and yet they probably feel that they are doing a favour 'allowing' begging inside their doors.
I believe, photographic journey has an ugly side to it too, which I am sure that many would not want to hear or view and this shot portrays that.
Poverty shows no respect for age ...
Food for thought perhaps!
Cheers and thanks for looking

Another interesting snapshot "from the hip". A very fine documentation of daily life, far away from where I live.

This reportage photo shows the daily life, you were successful with this one shot, bravo

this is a unique, amazing picture. It's spontaneity is raw and striking. You captured the ladies' characters and attitudes in a stunning way, its clear that they feel awkward with this way of living but any inhibitions have to be put aside because of need. You also captured the interaction between the people who have found themselves and grown in this condition and the person of whom they are asking relief. The backdrop is blocked and the light in their faces and eyes makes this unexpected portrait so vivid. Disturbing and heartbreaking each time. Congratulations for your boldness and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,

I know you dsy no composition, but I think tat is most fitting for this shot, as it would not be fair to these people to present them in anything other than their true surroundings. When I think of composing, I think of placing the units of a scene in the optimal position to make the end result appealing, but somehow I don't feel that is the purpose of this shot. I guess the purpose of your capture is to show these people as they are, their lives, the true spirit.
That has worked well, these women have a glow to them, a kind of spark of life that you don't always see in people. Ive heard it said before that the more people have, the more unhappy they become and it does seem to be true.
The light, the shoot from the hip idea and the whole scene presents a very real and very fine image of everyday life.
Thanks as always

Bravo pour cette image prise sur le vif, inattendue et très réussie tant la lumière sur les visages est excellente, le cadrage, le fond sombre, bonne note également

These hip or chest shots of your produce fascinating photos. They bring us so close to people behaving totally different from ordinary photo sessions. They make me feel I am right there, make me recall all those times I have been sitting in a seat being approached for alms, or making my way through the crowds in a street. All these moments of amazing meetings where i could not possibly have taken a photo. I am grateful to you for taking these chances with your hidden camera and for showing us these amazing snaps.

Another nice piece of 'aimless' shooting, Abmdsudi. It seems she might have caught on to you, though, or at least was focused on the camera at that moment. A good documentation of poverty, especially the visible backside of the small child she carries. Thanks as well for the enlightening note.

You have captured two women wit great glowing eyes. Excellent snapshot. They are not quite sure how react to your camera. Only after close look I recognized that one of them is holding a child.
Very well done

Tu as vraiment le don de pouvoir t'approcher des gens et d'entrer sans effort dans leur bulle. J'aime beaucoup comment les sujets réagissent à ton invasion de leur intimité.J'aime la texture de l'ensemble.

Magnificent portrait of these two women, I admire you for your decision to capture images, so hidden, with the risk that people realize and can bother, it is something that I am unable, therefore few portraits in my gallery, just do it from a remote site supporting me on the tele of the camera, and not always.
But thanks to that we can enjoy pure images, without any preparation ...
A colorful perfect very natural, with a strong constrast.
A bright image with optimum clarity.
Well done. I love it.
Enjoy the weekend.

a nice shot from the hip. Like you, I also hate poverty and not the poor people. There would be no scope for people begging, as I think, there should be no poverty... And thus no poor people...
But your shot is nevertheless very good with instant clicking. A fine frame obtained. Excellent moody one with those two and a half life... I don't mind your composition and like it. Tfs.

una composizione superba unita ad un bellissimo gioco di luci che pone in risalto i due soggetti.
Una immagine di grande efficacia e di notevole intensità.
Ciao e buona domenica

You have an awesome ability to take stealth candid photos of unsuspecting strangers and I love the result! I wish I could do the same but American are poor subjects. Even the lighting is very good for such a shot and the expression on their faces are real not done for the camera. Very well done, tfs.
