Photographer's Note

A Sari seller busy with his business of selling Saris.

A Sari is a popular garment among women in the Indian Subcontinent except Pakistan. It is a 9 yard long piece of cloth which women drape around them. The fabric can be natural like cotton and silk as well as synthetic like nylon etc. Prices can range from a few hundred to a few lakh(100000) of rupees. There are saris which are embroidered with gold and silver threads and are therefore very expensive.

According to me Indian women look the best in Saris, but very few wear it now. I cannot complain though as we men have long discarded our traditional attire.
