~ Nature In Its Best ~
My first attempt with HDR processing. Not captured with an intention to merge it, but while surfing my archive photos, I got one over and another under-exposed shot of this frame. Try to merge them with HDR processing. Here is the result on your screen...
Photo captured from Bhojbasa, 4km from those peaks, named Bhagirathi 1, 2 & 3. From the glacier under it is the source of river Ganges. Those three peaks are so majestic and offers mesmerizing view...
~ Enjoy it ~

The view is indeed spectacular! The strong color contrast is a plus here to emphasize the white top. Very well seen and done. TFS!

Its raw beauty appeals to me much.I like also the way you captured it with so expressive play of light&shade, which helps you to create the mood of the scene.
By the way-did you use Photomatix to make this HDR(it looks very natural.Actually I´d expected the HDR treament would make the shaded FG area much brighter)
Have a nice sunday

A fine rendering of these magnificent mountain peaks. I like the contrasts in tone and texture and the moody lighting.

your treatment works very well on this shot making the jagged peaks most impressive against the darkened sky.
A dramatic view nicely interpreted and presented.

a really successful piece of HDR merging this, the effect is captivating. I love the textures and amazing shadows that make this view all the more impressive. Great title too!
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

An impressive shot of these beautiful sharp peaks.
They contrast very well against the blue sky. You were lucky to see and photograph from such close quarters. Superb light and clarity.
Thanks for sharing.

This is an excellent result of your processing. I love the sharpness of the white mountain peak surrounded by the darker areas in the FG. The dark blue sky and fluffy clouds are perfect.
Kind Regards, Ann

Namaste, my friend Subhendu,
this HDR is soft and very pleasant at sight, because offers us a wonderful mountain landscape, with a great contrast with the deep sky, and an efficient chiaroscuro.
It's a beautiful composition, very well executed.

Quelle belle photo. La montagne est vraiment majestueuse et je dois humblement avouer, que j'aime mieux la regarder de loin que de tenter son ascension. La contre plongée donne une très belle ampleur.

hi subhendu. first of all: WOW!
then, i need to say that i wouldn't really understand the HDR job you did here, unless you mentioned it, as i would also expect to see some details in the strong shades. however i am so glad that those deep shadows exist, the strength of your composition is very well enhanced with its existance.

We are on the same topic os snow covered high summits today, you in the Himalayas, me in the Alps
This one is extremely contrasted but it works well since the dark hills at FG underline the white peaks at BG
have a nice sunday evening, best regards

These muntains don't look very welcoming but the view is stunning. You did a good job with the HDR and managed a superb contrast bwteeen the white and the almost black mountains and the dark blue sky.
ourania (43556) 2013-12-22 14:25
a suggestive and captivating image, the rugged, white peaks rising from the shadows and the dark tones below, look so magnificent in their splendor and details. You made the most of your point of view and used the deep blue backdrop marvelously. The diagonals are rhythmical and dynamic, the depth and the textures are awesome. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a wonderful week,

Le résultat de ton HDR improvisé est assez convainquant et donne une belle image de cette chaîne de montagnes.
Bonnes fêtes de fin d'année.

Photo at its best of the emerging imposing snow covered mountains in great and impresive contrast with the dark parts and the strong blue sky
Good use of HDR, always good to add emphasis at the colors

This photo is very important for two reasons.
One: usually mountains are not framed in such compact form. Here you have done that from such a close distance.
And two: you do not use tripods but merged more that one shot so effortlessly- a m a z i n g!
Great shot and a great pp.
jrleborgne (1554) 2014-01-18 11:46
Great capture, perfect contrast with such high peaks - thanks to you I am glad to discover the location of the source of river Ganges.
Have a nice sunday,
