~ Waiting (Reflected) | Chhat -IV ~
I am back here in TE after some busy working days...
Here is one, from my chhat puja album... This reflection shot was captured at the evening, when those ladies were waiting beside the sacred Ganges river...
Presented it upside down, as I feel it created more graphism... more dynamism...
~ Enjoy It ~

What an idea for these picture upside down to present.
But your idea is absolutely not bad.
Also the colours are absolutely attractive.
Excellent perspective and depth picture.
Nice composition and lovely captured.
Very well done, TFS.

Haahh, you are back.
...I expected a tour-photo.
The whole thing is in reverse position... and what an amazing clarity and colors... gradually (but very slowly) fading from bottom to top.
It is more amazing because the river is Ganga.
I bet, nobody can say it is a reflection - unless he accidentally marks the fruit-trays.
An extra-ordinary composition and great timing as usual with the lady in green sari in a dramatic posture.
It's a great, great, great shot.
Sabar sharir-tarir bhalo to?

Namaste mon ami. Content de te revoir. J'aime beaucoup ces reflets qui semblent presque la réalité. Que de belles couleurs et quelles célébrations spéciales.

One would be hard put to say that this was a reflection without the benefit of your note. I like the dynamics here and the interaction between the devotees. Also, the saturated colours and very good detail.

I think you did right to turn this upside down so that we could enjoy it properly without bending our necks ;-). The slight blur and haziness of the women, and their contrast to the sharpness of the bowls of offerings, give them a mysterious appearance tha seems to fit their spiritual mood very well. The subdued colours are also very nice to watch.

a creative and fascinating study this made all the more compelling in this imaginative presentation. The colours and detailing here are just perfect and the sense of anticipation palpable. Wonderful!

this is a mesmerizing picture, it has superb sharpness and its details are rendered with great precision, yet it feels dream-like. I like very much the diagonal arrangement and the way the smooth blue backdrop sets off the people and the things in the rich other half. The colours are really wonderful and there's a very fine light that exalts the brighter ones. The lady standing above the offerings is so interesting, her colours, expression and role in the composition are captivating. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

hello subhendu. you already told all the aspects of the photo in your note, i can only add that i like your idea and realization. the colors in the lower triangle are strong and eye catching, but well balanced with the simple triangle of reflected sky. your last three photos have your huge watermark, you might consider using a smaller one?

it takes a moment to understand how you took the shot, because the flowers are vivid and the remaining of the shot seems more greyish! it's the perfect reflection in the water which affects the vibrancy of the ladies.
Good idea well realised!

I like the cross over between what is obviously 'solid' and that which has a more dream-like quality Subhendu. The reality appears to gradually disintegrate into the softer image. Very attractive colours and theme. Warm regards Rosemary
