~ The Last Sight ~
'Darpan Visarjan' is a ritual where the priest symbolically immerses the idol, by capturing its reflection in a bowl of sacred water of Ganges...
Eventually it is the last sight of the Goddess... It is really a sad moment for Bengalee as it is our greatest festival. We have to wait for the next year for this festival...
Here in this shot I tried the same angle which the priest did just a few minute ago...
Photo captured in my locality... The picture quality is not the best which can be seen in clear water (as the Ganges water have a lot of mud particle in it) and the light is too tough as there are too many light sources which reflected from difficult light for photography...
~ Enjoy It ~

a nice creative composition, smartly based on the Goddess and her reflections on the water inside the bowl.
The image is clear and has a good symbolism, and I must say that you have skilfully handled the field of depth, reaching a beautiful bokeh.
I like the power of the colours in this splendid composition.

An unusual and most interesting composition. The reflections are well captured despite the muddy water. I like the lighting whilst the splashes of colour in the top part of the image nicely counterbalance the reflections. Good control over depth of field.

Novelty, thy name is...
What a wonderful idea and execution thereof.
The condition in this ritual is indeed very difficult for photography. But the result you achieved, is amazing. The colors, light management and DoF...

J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. C'est très ingénieux comme technique et cela me parle beaucoup.J'aime aussi le choix de la profondeur de champs.

Despite any technical issues due to the circumstances, this still turned out quite well. It's the type of photo that makes you stop and take a good hard look. I love your approach, this has rendered a fascinating visual effect with immediate impact. A creative concept and smart composition indeed. Another interesting and informative note, which aids in the interpretation of the imagery. Very nicely done! Have a great day ahead.

a very original reflection picture, created with care and respect for the religious tradition. I like very much the way you faced all the challenges caused by the quality of water and lighting. Your picture is clear where it should be, the moody colours make it suggestive and the bright but blurry details at the top maybe signify the end of the festivities. There are mesmerising details and great sense of depth in the reflected view. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great weekend,

May be there are technical problems in the capture because of the many lights, but anyway you manage to obtain a creative capture of the reflecting idol
Love that kind of traditional festivals
Enjoy your post,tfs

Namaste Subhendu. One can sense the importance of the ritual in the stillness and symbolism of the reflection on the water.A difficult image to capture considering all the htings you mention, but the serenity is there. Regards. Klaudio.

This is a very artistic POV. Quality is good consider the low light. I like the dream like quality of it.
