Photographer's Note

Mahakaal is a stalagmite cave with stalacsites forming different shapes at Jayanti Hills. One shape is believed to be the iconic shape of ‘Mahakaal’ or Lord Shiva. Hence, the cave temple is a pilgrimage for Hindus.
You can see, the path is not motorable. To reach the place, one has to trek for an hour or so from Jayanti village through this rocky terrain. Keep the Jayanti river at one side... and at last, cross the stream tip-toeing on the stones.
This way, you will reach the bottom of the hill. Now, ascend begins. You do not require being a mountaineer… find the long stair (made of bamboo sticks) hanging from the hill… grab it and climb.
It’s err.. not that difficult!
