~ The Tale Of A Loom Artist's Life ~
The photo tells the truth...
You can see here a loom artist, who is performing his work with a hand driven loom machine... You can also see his family at right side...
Photo captured from outside of his coup through a tiny door!... This room is hardly 10ft X 6ft in size. They live in it and work in it with a 4ft X 5ft machine... It is meaningless to tell how poor they are...
The light condition inside the room is typical & interesting. Some light comes from the left, from the indecent bulb, some reflected morning day light comes from the door at right (which you can't see here) and some from where I kneeled down...
I think you cann't enjoy it as a life... About photography... Let's see...

India from the inside !

thought provoking and evocative imagery and commentary here. A glimpse once again into another family's realm and lifestyle that is captured sensitively and presented compellingly. Amazing and humbling imagery!

your picture and note are superb and tell us the story of this family in a strikingly simple and effective way. I love your quick and direct look through the door as well as the animation it stirred on the inside. Depth and details have been rendered wonderfully but the most interesting part is the people, the bespectacled artist and his family. There's an intriguing resemblance between the child and the picture above the artist's head. The play of lighting coming from different sources is great. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

Hello Subhendu. Truly an interesting and worth seeing photo. Strong colors and best composition. The image is very much alive, because beside the artists are also mother and child present. And the light plays an important role here. Overall, a photo with artistic quality.

indeed we can see this scene of their daily life. Seems not easy like the life , like the condition. You capture this scene wonderfully to show us how hard life can be for this family. Tfs and thank you.
All the best,

This type of loom machine is a historical structure, I'm surprised that it works, valuable machine. Nice photo with the artist

I like the hot vs cold color contrasts between the blue, yellow and red in this superb daily life scene. Good sharpness and lighting with splendid diffused light and good shadow detail and lots of interesting little details to look at! Tfs.

bella scena, un lavoro molto antico che ancora sopravvive.
Belli i colori e la presenza delle persone.

The workshop, machine, family and … everything – in one small room.
All pertinent details of that all-in-one room is captured in the frame with great perfection.
An interesting light management with beautiful colours.
With best wishes,
