Photographer's Note
As thousands and thousands of pilgrims and devotees arrive in Chitrakoot, the sadhu gets himself ready to give blessings and the small business man sets up his shop selling, shampoo, soap and neem sticks to clean teeth.
What a wonderful experience this was, we were so lucky to be here.

Hello Elaine,
this is such an interesting and evocative photograph with the brighter light on the colourful sadhu, whilst the bedraggled looking business man sits in the shade.
A fine shot that captures the moment very well.
Best wishes Les.

Hello Elaine, I really love these fantastic shots of India and their people with all of their wonderful colors. I envy you traveling to this marvelous place. I think one can overlook the poverty when one sees the sustaining effort of the people to live. I guess this is just a street scene, but it also tells a story of the country. I think the latter is becoming a little better in a relative way. Great shot. Roger
