As the potter proceeded with his demonstration, onlookers crowded ever closer, and cameras were put to work, as though in a media scrum. I felt a presence at my shoulder, and turned to see this young man. As his face was more interesting than the clay in progress and I really enjoy taking photos of people, I focussed. I have always believed, mistakenly or otherwise, that the streaks of red in hair are indicative of the level of iron in the drinking water consumed.
