Photographer's Note

Another daily scene captured early in the morning, in the old quarter of Porbandar.
Porbandar is an old town on the coast, famous for being the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi. The house where he was born is one of the most visited places in town and it's situated in the old city, very near this place. However, Porbandar doesn't have many tourists around and infrastructures to receive them are still rare. But it's really worth to go around the old part of the city and watch the daily life of the locals.

Jolie scène de rue de la vie en Inde que tu as très bien mise en image. Une étrange rencontre entre ces deux "quadrupèdes" très différents!

Hi Ana,
The wonderful morning light in this pict makes up the ambience;the sleepy early morning calm portrayed by the closed shops, save one, the parked Ambassador car and the cow crossing at its will. Woderful composition,seems you and the person sitting there are the ones on the street. Well done.

une photo qui dépayse. Vétusté et désolation mais l'endroit n'est paradoxalement pas sale comparé à beaucoup d'autres. Chouette cette vieille voiture.

Qu carro e este ? parece bem antigo com o resto da paisagem urbana , gostei da vaca a cruzar a foto , sem duvida a Índia é um mundo a parte , bons detalhes e cores, parabéns!!

That Maruti is a trademark of India, and the holy cow is competing for equal space and this common scene there. NIce daily colorful street scene reflecting the real situation thre. Good capture. Well done

Hi Anna,

A classic Indian street photography, with the clow walking around with no cares. Amazing how one take it for granted, even cows :) Seem early in the day with some glow of light. Excellent quality shot.

por aqui uma joalheria jamais seria aberta com vizinhos decadentes como este, mas já sei algo sobre a febre dos indianos por ouro. legal este caro antigo, uma pena que a vaca apareça de costas.

There is something about this scene that says it couldn't be anywhere else but India! The dusty muted colours and afternoon light make this a timeless delight, especially with the old car..
