The best thing in Haridwar is undoubtedly the much famed evening aarti at Har-ki-Pauri. Its’s the most awaited event occurs everyday at Har-ki-Pauri ghats. Thousands of people gather at either side of the Ghats, and the river Ganga is embelleshed like newly wedded bride, aglow with phosphorescence of a million diyas and marigold petals, is an ethereal sight. Air is stuffed with incense and rhythmic chants filled the air. The ambiance suddenly turns into another world. Everybody closes their eyes and sway in tempo. The religious fervour is unimaginable. In a 6 minutes the Aarti reaches a crescendo and people scramble madly for prasad.

An interesting note, although I didn`t understand all the words.
A very interesting picture too.The lights show up some beautiful structures in the sky, and the whole scene has been well composed.

This is fantastic, you have managed to capture that fervour you desribe, and there is a great sense of anticipation. The inclusion of the large crowd also show how populat this event is. Very nicely done
