For this last series of pictures from Delhi, I offer you some taken in the Qutb complex, which lies close to the Temple of Chhatrapur but is much older.
The Qutb complex, also spelled Qutab or Qutub, is an array of monuments and buildings at Mehrauli in Delhi, India. The construction of Qutb Minar was intended as a Victory Tower, to celebrate the victory of Mohammed Ghori over Rajput king, Prithviraj Chauhan, in 1192 AD, by his then viceroy, Qutbuddin Aibak, who later became the first Sultan of Delhi of Mamluk dynasty. After the death of the commissioner, the Minar was added upon by his successor Iltutmish (also known as Altamash).
The complex was added to by many subsequent rulers, including Firoz Shah Tughlaq and Ala ud din Khilji as well as the British. Constructions in the complex include the Qutb Minar, the Quwwat ul-Islam Mosque, the Alai Gate, the Alai Minar, the Iron pillar, and the tombs of Iltutmish, Alauddin Khilji and Imam Zamin; surrounded by Jain temple ruins.
Today, the adjoining area spread over with a host of old monuments, including Balban's tomb, has been developed by Archeological Survey of India (ASI) as the Mehrauli Archeological Park, and INTACH has restored some 40 monuments in the Park. It is also the venue of the annual 'Qutub Festival', held in November–December, where artists, musicians and dancers perform over three days. The Qutb Minar complex was India's most visited monument in 2006, well ahead of the Taj Mahal.
The above was taken from Wikipedia. For a full description of the complex and its various monuments, please click here.

The massive walls in the foreground anchor the scene effectively, with the arch featuring the extraordinarily intricate carvings emerging dramatically in the background. What a gorgeous photo. Incidentally, is this the complex with the soaring minaret?
Warm regards and have a good weekend,

buona la resa dell'immagine con questa sequenza di grandi blocchi di cui alcuni finemente lavorati.
La grande porta sullo sfondo con i suoi decori mostra al mondo l'abilità degli artisti che la hanno realizzata,

The walls are framing well the gate. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the Great gate. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Yes, I can see why you recommend India as a place to travel. Like no other country on earth I can imagine there would be very beautiful and very ugly things to see here. The contradictions must be mind-blowing. But here you have captured something very beautiful. I love the POV, the tight framing and the impressive details you have captured. Wonderful shot, particularly the arch on the right against that beautiful blue sky...just stunning.
Have a good Sunday
