Photographer's Note
Women ( but not only women!) from any country or continent, from any race, religion or social background, from any time in the History... have always been more or less coquettish.
You can be at the end of the world in a remote tribe, far from the fashion of the catwalks, but still, style, jewels, colors... and even, body painting, mean something.

Bises

Hi Marine,
Here you go. The direct eye contact and that veiled smile. Those tatoos on her arm and the bangles are very good.
In some of your posts I have read you have mentioned about the 18-50 lens you have. But you have not mentioned that even at 50mm it can remain at 2.8. :) The perfect bokeh it can have and the colors it can retain is really fabulous. I remember we had decided and almost vowed to take portraits only after conversation with our models. I know every time its not possible but the profound sense of pleasure it gives make the travel worth more than the photography itself. Thats why I was also stubborn enough to go manual with my 50 mm. On our next trip we will plan something similar. No long lens and no photos without a personal touch of conversation. :)
Love your portraits. They are full of life.
Hugs
Tushar

Bises

Marine: I didn't know you had been to Orissa - it was a favorite destination for me, along with Gujarat - because it's relatively unknown and unvisited. Where else did you go? Do you remember this lady's tribal affiliation? It's a very beautiful shot - with an obvious demure smile... c
