Welcome to TrekEarth. Interesting pictute, must tell you. Seems you've been working on it for quite a while but the effect is well worth it. Maybe you sharpened it a bit too much, I don't know... it looks so surreal... what kind of retouching have you done on the original? Tom

Très belle photo, un paysage surprenant, vraiment curieux et qui m'attire beaucoup.
Bienvenu sur TE.

while the colours are nice, i'm not very sure about the quality here . i don't know anything much about digital photograph, but this seems to have been oversharpened to a great extent which has led to a loss of detail.
now about the composition.. i think you could have done much better. i'm a little confused but isn't chandratal in the shape of a crescent???
my mind is a little fuzzy about this . but if this is so, then perhaps you should have found a different viewpoint from where you could have captured the crescent, or atleast got close to catching a crescent.
this would have made chandratal really stand out as people would have been able to identify the lake by just looking at it
take care :)

Beautiful shot..like the calm water and the reflection
of cloud on it..i find similarity of this lake with
changhu in Sikkim..
