Photographer’s Note

This is a display of posters on sale in a street market.Every sunday in the market of Daryaganj, Delhi there happens an all day street sale of 2nd hand books, stationary, and such intresting pictures.The person on the right side of photo is Me.I took this photo while holding the camera with hand stretched (had to do this because there was no room ,as the market was too crowded).

Nice and colourful. Good idea to include yourself so as to provide another point of interest and I like the way you are a little out of focus incontrast to the sharpness of the pictures. Well executed.

strange, but the photo lost some of its value for me when i read that it was YOU in the picture! i LOVE the background... how visually rich!... and i think you did need a person in the picture, so you were right about that, but somehow it's not as special when it's you. there's no element of surprise. no sense that you were capturing the "real" life as it was happening around you.

of course this raises a whole bunch of questions about the nature of the photographer and his or her role vis a vis his or her subjects, what is reality, etc. -- nothing i'm in the mood to tackle today, so i'm just going with my gut on this and give you one point.
