Photographer's Note

There is a masonry margin around the Kapur Talao - the latter situate to the east of the Jahaz Mahal. In the middle of its waters there was once a pavilion, now in ruins, connected to the west side of the tank by a causeway. There are traces of an aqueduct in the front face of the Jahaz Mahal from which water flowed down into the tank near the causeway, splashing gently over a cascade. The arched underground channel connects the two tanks to this day, equalizing water levels.
