[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the beautiful buddhist stupas at Sanchi, spent two peaceful days here a relief after the chaos and grinding poverty of Jhansi and other cities between there and Delhi. Sanchi is one of the oldest surviving monumnets from the Buddhist period, with exquisite carvingd from the second century AD.

Sanchi s a beautiful place and this is a beautifully framed photo from the main gateway. Great detail and perfect golden light.

Thanks for adding up on the Sanchi gallery. I see Rich has caught up with it. You picked up a great detailed fresco, with carvings in each plan, which shows how thorough the carvers were in using all spaces to full advantage.
