Photographer’s Note
Another image from the Jain temple of Ranakpur. The temple is largely considered to have been built between the late 14th to mid-15th centuries. Over 1444 marble pillars, carved in exquisite detail, support the temple.

Hi Elaine,
Colourful colours surrounded by soft white stone highlighted by incoming light.
I really like how you have captured the roof stone designs.
Yes, I agree vertical format has worked a treat for you. Nice work achieved.
Warm regards from Australia,
Graham.

Hey Elaine: the occasional flight over the favorites list is not without its rewards - great timeliness with the light here - and your friend's dispassionate glance aside works very well here. regards, c

HI Elaine,
I immediatly recognized Ranakpur!
I have been there too....what a place!
the most impressive feature for photo-lovers are the possibilities to shot strong colour contrasting pictures like yours. the colourful saarees against the everlasting white marble....
well done

Dear Elaine
Light is the key here! Like how light filters through her ghungat...also good is the fact is her nonchalant glance, not towards you. Fine tight natural frame with the columns. Good, good work!
Best regards

Hi Elaine,
Excellent composition. I like the way you included the arches to add deph. The light is beautiful and hits on the rigt places the woman's beautiful face and the men's legs. The contrastic sari colours add a nice punch to the scene.

Flavia
