Photographer’s Note
I thought I would show you trek earth people what my hotel in Puskar looked like. This room was very expensive during the Camel Festival, later was still over priced. There are no curtains, and people can and do look into my room from the floor above. One favorite past time in India is peeking into a woman's room, (only changing, as more people get tv). I taped paper on one, hung a scarf over filled bottles of water on another, and hung two lunges on th eopen windows. (long wrap around clothes) People in America think my hotel rooms must look as modern as the USA. Surprise! Now I have no fault with this room except they tried to cheat me big time on price, called me names and my country names when I would not pay more than the previously agreed price. They threatened to beat me up. I am "rich", and should pay many times more than others, "my country is rich". "What do I pay in my country?" In my country I have a mattress on my bed, none here, just ropes across the bed. I have a real bathroom, etc. I love India! Some times it just so exhausting to fight with crooks all the time.
