Photographer’s Note
The Lallgarh Palace is a three-storey complex, faced in pink sandstone quarried in the Thar Desert. This photograph is taken from the right-front of the building and shows what is now the Laxmi Niwas Palace Hotel. In addition, the palace incorporates the Lallgarh Palace Hotel, proceeds from which help to fund the Gangha Singhji Charitable trust. Adjoining the Lallgarh Palace Hotel is the Shri Sadul Museum. There is also a temple and guest house on the property. The Bikaner Royal Family occupy one wing as their private home.
