Photographer’s Note
In the Hindu marriage ceremony, the party of the groom arrives in a procession at the bride's house - usually led by a group of musicians. More lavish ceremonies feature a band of colourfully dressed players. In more straitened circumstances, the band may consist only of drummers charged with making the maximum amount of noise.
While waiting to be hired, long hours are spent whiling away the time. This young man saw me taking photos from across the street and decided to mount a performance.
